[[GOLD]] — Its discoveries as of December 31, 2007, include the 7.5 million ounce Morila deposit in southern Mali, the seven million ounce Yalea deposit at Loulo in western Mali and the four million ounce Tongon deposit in the Cote d’Ivoire. The Company financed and developed the Morila mine, which was brought into production in October 2000, and as of December 31, 2007, has produced approximately 4.75 million ounces of gold. It also financed and developed the Loulo project, which went into production, in November 2005, with two open-pit mines. Randgold Resources’ focus is on the discovery and development of gold projects. This is supported by exploration projects in the major gold regions of Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Tanzania.
